THIS year marks the 90th anniversary of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and to commemorate this significant milestone, RBI Nagpur organised an exciting Inter-bank T20 Cricket Tournament at the WCL Cricket Ground in Nagpur.
RBI won the final beating Bank of India by six wickets.
Six banks participated in the tournament, including RBI Nagpur, Bank of Maharashtra (BOM), Bank of India (BOI), Punjab National Bank (PNB), State Bank of India (SBI) and UCO Bank.
Manish Dosi from RBI was adjudged Player of the Final for his 59* and excellent captaincy. Sanket Asare from Bank of Maharashtra was named best all-rounder, Piyush Telrandhe from RBI was declared best batsman for 119 runs in 2 matches with strike rate of 167 and for scoring 109 runs in 60 balls against Bank of Maharashtra. Neeraj Gawande was adjudged best bowler for his five wickets in tournament.
Prizes were distributed by Sujata Lal, Chief General Manager RBI Nagpur. Other senior officers from RBI and Bank of India were also present on the occasion.
At the outset, the tournament was inaugurated by Sachin Shende, Regional Director, RBI Nagpur, who emphasised the importance of sports in fostering teamwork and camaraderie among banking institutions.
