THE Goods and Services Tax Bar
Association (GSTBA) successfully
conducted a study circle meeting at
the GSTBA Library Hall,GST Bhawan,
Civil Lines in the city. The meeting
saw enthusiastic participation from
a large number of members, reaffirming the growing interest
in understanding the latest developments in GST law and its practical
implications.
The session featured an insightful
addressbyCASaurabhPuniyani,who
provided a comprehensive explanation of theprovisions ofSection 16(5)
of the GST Act.
His detailed presentation focused
on the restrictions related to Input
Tax Credit (ITC), highlighting key
points about the ineligibility of certain supplies.
Participants appreciatedhisin-depthanalysis,whichclarified various concerns surrounding
the eligibilitycriteria forclaiming ITC
under theprovision.Additionally, the
speaker also elaborated on
the newly introduced Invoice
Management System.
