In its latest list of candidates for State Assembly polls to be held on November 20, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) (Sharad Pawar) reposed faith in loyalist Rameshchandra Bang from Hingna. The party has fielded Atul Wandile from Hinganghat. Bharatiya Janata Party suffered a setback as Gyayak Patni, son of party’s three-time MLA late Rajendra Patni joined NCP (SP). NCP (SP) announced name of Gyayak from Karanja, his father’s traditional constituency. Meanwhile, NCP workers in Hinganghat and Karanja registered protest as party roped in the people from outside and ignored party’s own people. After the announcement of the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024, many developments are being seen in politics.

The third list of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) has been announced. Party’s State President Jayant Patil announced this list of 9 candidates. The names of the 3 candidates from Vidarbha figured in the list. They include Karanja -Gyayak Patni, Hinganghat-Atul Wandile, Hingna-Ramesh Bang. Joining of NCP (SP) by Gyayak Patni, son of Rajendra Patni, shocked everyone. He was welcomed with his supporters at Mumbai in NCP fold by its Supremo Sharad Pawar, State President Jayant Patil, and Working President Supriya Sule. Gyayak was accompanied by BJP leaders from the Washim district, members of Karanja Zilla Parishad, Panchayat Samiti. During the joining Patil revealed that he was trying to connect with Gyayak Patni, who was reluctant but Patni had been reluctant to leave BJP.
