THE annual general body meeting of Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC) was held at Hotel Dwarkamai here in the city. President of the chamber Arjundas Ahuja presided over the meeting. On the occasion, a large number of members highlighted the issue of Local Body Tax (LBT) notices which theyhavebeen receiving.They also said that many small and medium size traders finditdifficult to pay the tax. Ahuja said a period of nine years has past since the LBT was abolished.
“However, many traders are still struggling with the cases of assessmentandappeals.Wewillsoon give memorandum to Chief Minister,Deputy Chief Minister and Nagpur Municipal Commissioner demanding them speedy resolution of the matter,” he added. Vice President of the chamber Farooque Akbani; Joint Secretary - Shabbir Shakir and Rajwantpal Singh Tuli; PRO Hemant Sarda; Past President Praful Doshi and Hemant Khungar; and Executive Members were present.
