Dr Kakde is RTMNU’s Pro-V-C

Dr Rajendra Kakde, Professor at Post-Graduate Department of Pharmacy, has taken over the charge of Pro-Vice Chancellor of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU). Dr Rajendra Kakde has worked as Advisor to All India Council for Techncial Education (AICTE) Chairman. After the demise of Dr Subhash Chaudhary, Vice-Chancellor of RTMNU, Dr Sanjay Dudhe, the then Pro-Vice Chancellor had to demit the office. Chancellor had given the charge of Vice-Chancellor to Dr Prashant Bokare. As per new version of Public Universites Act 2016, Vice-Chancellor can appoint his or her deputy. Accordingly, Dr Bokare has given the charge of Pro-VC to Dr Rajendra Kakde. Dr Kakde has proven his ability as administrator when he worked as Advisor to AICTE Chairman. Dr Kakde handled various important responsibilities and matters whilst at AICTE.
 
He contributed a lot in terms of introducing important changes in technical education at par with National Education Policy 2020. During his tenure as Advisor to AICTE Chairman, Dr Kakde was part of core committee that shaped country’s technical education. Dr Kakde took charge in presence of Registrar Dr. Raju Hiwase, Finance and Accounts Officer Harish Paliwal, Director in-charge of Board of Examinations and Evaluation Dr Sanjay Kavishwar, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology Dr Prashant Maheshwari, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities Dr Shamrao Koreti, Dean of the Inter-Disciplinary Studies Branch Dr Prashant Kadu, Director in-charge of IIL Dr Nishikant Raut, Director of the Knowledge Source Center Dr Vijay Khandal, Dr Sanjay Dhoble, Dr Kirtikumar Randive, Deputy Registrar Sanjay Bhekhar, Dr Rajendra Utkhede, Umesh Uike, Assistant Registrar Ganesh Kumkumwar, Sanjay Bhoyar, Superintendent of Gardens Praveen Gotmare, V-C Office staffer Satish Sadhankar.
