SIX footballers from city have been selected in the Maharashtra team which will participate in the forthcoming Santosh Trophy national football tournament. Mohd Owais Khan, who will be representing Maharashtra seventh time, Young Muslim Football Club’s Yash Shukla (YMFC 2nd time), Depesh Burrewar (Rahul), Fahad Juanid (YMFC), Aryan Benerjee (Nagpur Blues) and Mohammad Uzaif have been picked by Western India Football Association (WIFA) for the competition. The Sanosh Trophy will be held in Jaipur. Maharashtra will play their matches against Rajasthan Diu-Daman and Gujarat. NDFA President Haresh Vora, Secretary Iqbal Kashmiri and others congratulated the players.
