MOHOTA, so used to taking the top perch in team duplicate events, once again proved themselves far better than the rest by emerging champions in team duplicate event organised by Vidarbha Bridge Association in their sports complex on Sunday. Competing from a field of 9 teams from Vidarbha region, in 50 deals contest played across 5 rounds of 10 boards each, Mohota earned 69.66 VP and seized the top spot. Their team consisted of Basant Mohota, S Chhajjed, R Deshpande, G Dutta and Anilkumar Mohota.

 

Friends finished runners-up with 64.52 VP. Their team included C Tripathi, R Basuri, R Khan and A Sarode. In 24 deals, IMP pairs event played on Saturday, father and son duo of Raja and Amit Rewatkar emerge champions. R Deshpande and Anilkumar Mohota finished runners-up. C Tripathi and R Khan duo walk away with third position. Attractive cash prizes were awarded to all the winners. Prizes were sponsored by Anandmala Group and distributed by Shashikant Hastak. Anilkumar Mohota and Amit Rewatkar were the tournament directors for this brain game.
