ROHIT Sharma scored the 50th goal of the season as Nagpur Blues blanked Manganese Ore India Limited (MOIL) by three goals to nil in the ongoing JSW-NDFA Elite Division League League Championship at Dr Ambedkar Football Stadium in Suyog Nagar on Thursday. This was Nagpur Blues’ first win from four games while the minemen have suffered second loss from five matches they played so far.

 

They have recorded just one win and two draws so far in the competition. Nagpur Blues got an opportunity to take the lead through an own goal in the 32nd minute of play. In an attempt to clear the ball from his post, Yuvraj Dudhang hit it into MOIL’s own post to give Blues the lead. Sharma then scored two goals in space of 10 minutes to help Nagpur Blues register a resounding win. Sharma first scored in the 49th minute which turned out to be tournament’s 50th goal. He then found another gap in MOIL defence as he fired in his second and team’s third goal in the 59th minute. In Senior Division, Nobel SA played a goalless draw with Gouhar FC.
