Saturday was an altogether special day for the pass-out students of the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Nagpur as they were seen smiling and their faces glowing with pride as they were embarking on their professional journey. IMT, Nagpur, celebrated its Convocation ceremony of the class 2022-24 on November 23, 2024. The chief guest of the programme, Jai Prakash Dwivedi, Chairman and Managing Director, WCL said, “As you climb the ladder of success in your professional journey use your knowledge to make a positive impact on the world.”
Dwivedi highlighted how the institution equips student managers to be dynamic, take risks, and builds resilience in them. Emphasising the importance of adaptability in today’s evolving landscape, he stated, “World is shifting and it needs leaders to navigate through challenges as they will shape the industry.
Leadership is about fostering an environment of collaboration.”
The Chief Mentor, Kamal Nath, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh shared valuable insights with the students via video conferencing and praised the students for their achievements.
Dr Bigyan Verma, Director of IMT Nagpur, extended his congratulations to the students and wished them success in their future endeavours.
On the occasion, Jai Prakash Dwivedi and Dr Bigyan Verma released Opus, the bi-annual newsletter and souvenir.
The convocation ceremony also honoured distinguished alumni for their remarkable achievements in their respective fields. Keyur Bhalavat, Founder and CEO of Plutomen and a proud member of the batch of 2009–2011, was felicitated for his entrepreneurial success and contributions to the industry.
Saket Kumar Jha, Head of Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Logistics Operations at SKF Ahmedabad, from the batch of 2007–2009, was recognised for his outstanding leadership and expertise in supply chain management. Sampark Sachdeva from the batch of 2008-2010, founder and CEO SamparkSeSampark, was also felicitated for his entrepreneurial success. The distribution of awards and the felicitation of medalists from the batch of 2022–24 was also conducted.
The convocation ceremony concluded on a joyous note, with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Dr Rajnandan Patnaik, Senior Dean (Academics). Kaveri Mukherji served as the Master of Ceremony. The graduates tossed their black caps into the air, it signified not only the culmination of years of hard work and dedication but also the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.
Around 300 graduates attended the ceremony along with their parents.
