MOHOTA, led by senior bridge players Basant Mohota, S Chhajjed, Samir Roy and Anilkumar Mohota, emerged champions in team duplicate event organised by Vidarbha Bridge Association in their sports complex at Shankar Nagar on Sunday. It was a victory to cherish in 42 deals contest played across 7 rounds of 6 boards each, wherein their tally of 108.19 VP helped them secure top honours and winners purse. Just behind them were team Samadhan, who finished runners-up with a tally of 83.75 VP. Their team consisted of S Patni, M Hararwala, D Mandpe and V Patki. Playwell finished third with 81.78 VP. Their team included father and son duo of Raja and Amit Rewatkar, Kumra brothers Neeraj and Sanjeev, Sudhir Watwe and Sudhir Iyer. In IMP pairs event played on Saturday, competing from 22 pairs, M Hasabnis and L Madne duo emerged champions in 22 deals contest. P Kar and M Dutta duo walk away with second position. Amit Rewatkar was the tournament director for this brain game.
