Renowned Bollywood playback singer Shantanu Mukherjee alias Shaan enthralled the audience through his exciting performance in Rajyosav at Fair Ground, Nava Raipur in Atal Nagar on Monday late evening. Renowned artists performed on the first day of the Rajyotsav. They mesmerised the audience with vibrant and captivating cultural performances. Rikhi Kshatriya’s team presented folk dances. Mohan Chauhan and his team performed and enthralled the audience. Folk singer Sunil Soni and his team performed and enthralled the audience. Vidya Varchasvi also performed and mesmerized the audience.
 
On November 5, starting at 5 pm, the programme will feature ‘Sanskritik Leher Ganga’ by Puranik Sahu, folk tunes by Surendra Sahu, Bhola Yadav, and team; ‘The Moonlight Raga’ by Mohan Naidu and his team; and performances by Rajesh Awasthi, Aru Sahu, and Neeti Mohan. On November 6, artists of Anurag Star Night, led by Anurag Sharma will perform at Fair Ground, Nava Raipur in Atal Nagar. ‘India’s Got Talent’ Mallakhamb act will be performed by Manoj Prasad and ‘Magic Bastar’ will be presented by Savi Srivastava. A musical performance will be presented by Pawan Deep and Arunita.

Renowned playback singer Shantanu Mukherjee, popularly known as ‘Shaan,’ was in the State Capital to grace the Rajyotsav celebrations in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.
In a media interaction at Mayfair Lake Resort, Shaan discussed the evolving scenario of the Indian music industry. He highlighted the increasing competitiveness and the challenge of constantly delivering fresh and engaging music. “Earlier, a singer could gain popularity with just a couple of songs. Today, every new song is a challenge,” he said.
The singer reminisced about his previous performances in Raipur, Bilaspur, and Korba, expressing his gratitude for the warm reception he received from people of Chhattisgarh. He particularly praised the state’s rich cultural heritage and its lush greenery, a stark contrast to the urban landscape of Mumbai. For his Rajyotsav performance, Shaan is set to debut a new song, ‘Pragati Ke Path Par Chhattisgarh...’, a high-energy and soulful track. Shaan, hailed as the ‘Golden Voice of India,’ has made significant contributions to Indian cinema, lending his voice to numerous
Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, and Telugu films. His romantic songs, particularly from the 2000s, have become timeless classics.
 
Some of his iconic songs include ‘Musu Musu Haasi Deu’ from ‘Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi,’ ‘Woh Ladki Hai Kahan’ and ‘Koi Kahe Kehta Rahe’ from ‘Dil Chahta Hai,’ ‘Ghanan Ghanan’ from ‘Lagaan,’ and “Mere Samnewali Khidki Mein’ from ‘Dil Vil Pyar Vyar.’ With his soulful voice and captivating stage presence, Shaan still continues to enchant audiences.
