The Hitavada’s Mukesh S Singh honoured with Madhukar Kher Smriti Patrakarita Puraskar

Vice-President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, presented the ‘Chhattisgarh Rajya Alankaran Samman-2024’ to 38 individuals and four organisations during the ‘Rajya Alankaran Samaroh’, held on Wednesday evening at Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, Chhattisgarh.
The awards were distributed in recognition of achievements in 36 different fields, under the auspices of 16 government departments, as part of the Rajyotsav celebrations.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, and Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dr Raman Singh, who congratulated all the honourees.
Mukesh S Singh, News Editor of ‘The Hitavada’, Raipur, received the Madhukar Kher Smriti Patrakarita Puraskar (English media).
Bholaram Sinha and Mohan Tiwari were awarded the Chandulal Chandrakar Smriti Patrakarita Puraskar for Hindi print and electronic media, respectively.
During the event, Vice-President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar said that progress and development of states is directly linked to the nation’s growth.
He appreciated the people of Chhattisgarh and the state’s rich cultural heritage, saying ‘Chhattisgarhiya Sabse Badiya’.
Vice-President Dhankhar also expressed confidence that states like Chhattisgarh will make a significant contribution to India’s development journey, calling the state rich in natural resources and endowed with youthful energy nurtured by enterprise and courage. This land, often called the ‘Rice Bowl of India’, is playing a leading role in the nation’s development today, he added.
