The second day of the five-day mega children’s drama festival, Bal Darbar, organised by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Nagpur Kendra, witnessed engaging performances by students from various city schools. The plays are being staged at Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Auditorium, Civil Lines, with nearly 30 schools participating. The plays staged on the second day explored themes like digital irresponsibility, lack of digital literacy and cyber awareness, environmental concerns, and noble causes.

One performance depicted families glued to phones, the rush to post moments online, and the dangers of digital scams and misuse of photographs. Another play brought nature to life through the personification of elements like the earth, water, air, trees, and the sun. They voiced their plight as victims of human pollution and took their case to court, seeking justice for environmental harm. One of the plays delivered a heartfelt message about organ donation and how one person’s decision can save lives, even after they are gone. The festival continues to inspire students and audiences alike with its thought-provoking themes.
