The hoarding stuck in the scooter of Fidvi on the fly-over on Tuesday.

2-wheeler rider in critical condition
An elderly man sustained grievous injuries on Tuesday morning after an illegal hoarding of a political leader fell on the man while he was riding a two-wheeler on Kamptee Road flyover. The incident left the man with serious head injuries and multiple fractures and he is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
The injured person has been identified as Fidaali Fidvi (63), a resident near Dr Shahu’s clinic in Gandhibagh. A businessman by profession, Fidvi was riding on the flyover when the accident occurred at approximately 10.45 am.
According to police, Fidvi was riding an Activa scooter (MH-36/W-8852) and travelling from LIC Square towards the Kamptee Road. As he was passing above Automotive Square area, a loose hoarding suddenly fell on Fidvi. The hoarding engulfed him as he was riding at a speed of around 40-50 km/h.
Caught off guard by the falling hoarding, Fidvi lost control of his scooter. In the process, he fell onto the flyover road and his head struck the parapet wall of the bridge with a great force.
Despite wearing a helmet, Fidvi sustained grievous head injuries, including a skull fracture and blood clots in his head. Blood was seen oozing from his head wound.
Passers-by immediately stopped to assist him.
They rushed him to the nearest hospital, where doctors examined his condition. Despite the protective
helmet, the impact caused severe injuries and Fidvi’s condition remains critical. The doctors have confirmed the presence of a skull fracture and blood clots and they are treating him.
Kapil Nagar Police have conducted a panchnama and they have initiated the process of registering an offense against the responsible parties involved in the illegal erection of the hoarding.
