The Co-ordination review meeting of the second week of the December was held under the chairmanship of General Manager of West Central Railway, Shobhana Bandopadhyay on Thursday. All the departmental heads of the headquarters including Chief Mechanical Engineer, Nitin Chaudhary and Chief Safety Officer, Prabhat Kumar were present. Simultaneously, Divisional Railway Managers of Jabalpur, Bhopal and Kota also remained connected through video conferencing. Many important topics like safety, punctuality, station redevelopment, infrastructure construction works and safety inspection of trains during winters were discussed. General Manager, Bandopadhyay said that safe and secure rail operations are our priority and gave necessary guidelines to the concerned officials to review and expedite the work of railway projects and station redevelopment.
 
The General Manager instructed to ensure compliance of the instructions laid down by the Railway Board regarding safety and security and to follow the safety related improvements in a planned manner. She talked about monitoring the punctuality of trains and to emphasize on the speed related works and safety of trains. Under the new projects going on West Central Railway, necessary guidelines were given to speed up the work under the new rail lines infrastructure construction works.
 
Along with this, the progress report of the work going on under doubling and tripling rail lines was reviewed and discussed in detail. Necessary guidelines were given to expedite the station redevelopment infrastructure construction works and complete them within the time limit. The General Manager gave necessary directions for ensuring punctuality and continuous monitoring of train operations during fog in winter season and for following safety rules as directed by the Railway Board. Apart from this, she also reviewed the progress of the work of station redevelopment and other projects going on at a fast pace in the railways and directed the concerned officers of the three divisions to expedite the work.
