The State Congress unit is leaving no stone unturned to make its show of strenght a successful one. Top leaders have asked the office-bearers and workers to come with their supporters in large numbers to the State.
A foot march will be organised to gherao the Assembly from Jawahar Chowk Bhopal in the Bhopal on Monday at 12 noon under the leadership of senior leaders of All India Congress Committee, State Congress President Jeetu Patwari and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Umang Singhar, regarding Bharatiya Janata Party’s breach of promise, increasing corruption, atrocities against SC, ST, minorities, women, problems of farmers, rampant unemployment and other burning issues prevailing in the State.
State Congress President Jitu Patwari has appealed to All India Congress Committee, all senior leaders of the State Congress Committee and lakhs of Congressmen of the State that the state-wide Vidhan Sabha siege has been organised by the Congress to protest against the corruption, fear, terror, problems of farmers, dark future of youth, incidents of exploitation and rape of women and girls prevalent in anti-people BJP Government of the State and various breaches of promises made by the BJP Government to all sections of the State, including giving Rs 3000 to Ladli Bahnas, LPG cylinder for Rs 450, support price of paddy for Rs 3100 and wheat for Rs 2700 and soybean for Rs 6000.
State Congress Vice President Organisation In-charge Rajiv Singh said that thousands of Congressmen from all districts of the State are reaching Bhopal voluntarily to be a part of the gherao.
Full preparations have been made. Thousands of Congressmen including presidents of the organisational District and City Congress Committees of all districts, district in-charges, co-in-charges, State Congress officials, MLAs, former MLAs, former MPs, State Congress representatives, State presidents of front organisations, departments, cells, elected representatives of local institutions of the Congress party will participate in the programme.
