RIDING on a couple of goals from Shahnawaz, Green Flag defeated Rahul Academy 2-0 in the JSW NDFA Senior Division Football Tournament at Suyog Nagar ground on Thursday. Shahnawaz scored one goal in each half. His first goal came in the 29th minute of play while the second in 57th minute. In the JSW NDFA Super Division Tournament that got underway on Thursday, Sportians FC and AGRC played out a goalless draw. The match though had some heated moments at the fag end. AGRC’s Suryabali Yadav was shown yellow card in the 87th minute while Gopal Singh was expelled in the 96th minute. Earlier, NDFA Secretary Iqbal Kashmiri inaugurated the tournament. Abid Khan, Mehfooz Akhtar, Kamal Ansari and AB Khan were present on the occasion.
