■ Business Reporter :
A DELEGATION of MIDC
Industries Association (MIA), led
by President P Mohan, recently
met P Velrasu, CEO of
Maharashtra Industrial
Development Corporation
(MIDC), at the MIDC office.
During the interaction, the MIA members highlighted
several critical issues
affecting the industrial ecosystem of
the Hingna MIDC
area and proposed
actionable solutions
for their resolution.
Key issues that were highlighted included - ease of doing
business, waste management,
sewage infrastructure, land
acquisition and expansion,
healthcare, etc. P Mohan said
that the entrepreneurs face
delays and financial strain due
to centralized decision-making
in Mumbai. MIA felt that empowering the Nagpur Regional office
of MIDC with more autonomy,
appointing a Deputy CEO locally, and digitizing administrative
processes will be good for the
local industries.
MIA also proposed professional
agencies, land allocation for garbage
disposal, and penalties for illegal
dumping under
Swachh Bharat
Abhiyan.
The interaction marked a significant step towards addressing
long-standing issues in the
Hingna MIDC area. Prominent
attendees included Arun
Lanjewar, Ganesh Jaiswal, Ajay
Agrawal, K K Daga, Rakesh Gupta,
and officials from MIDC.
