Chanderi Maheshwari Exhibition of Mrignayani Emporium is being organised at Hotel Kalchuri, from December 21 to 30. The exhibition is being organised under Sant Ravidas Madhya Pradesh Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporation. Exhibition in-charge, Pradeep Koshta informed that this festival has become a signature event and is organized approximately twice a year.
The event exclusively invites select weavers and artisans known for their high-quality craftsmanship and diverse collections.
Dharmendra Bagde, a handloom weaver from Waraseoni, Balaghat, attending for the second consecutive year, shared insights about the production of Kosa silk in Waraseoni following the separation of Chhattisgarh. He highlighted that Kosa from Chapa is popular both domestically and internationally, with significant sales volumes.
Shabbir Ansari, a weaver from Maheshwar, has brought a wide range of Maheshwari sarees and suits, which are attracting many. Nafees, a weaver from Chanderi, Ashoknagar, mentioned that he has brought a substantial stock of Chanderi sarees, which visitors have been appreciating. The exhibition showcases rich tradition of handloom and handicrafts, offering visitors an opportunity to the visitors to explore and purchase authentic and high-quality items directly from skilled artisans.
