The Municipal Corporation has been continuously taking action to remove encroachments from roads, footpaths, corridors, and public spaces. In this regard, the Anti-Encroachment Squad of the corporation carried out operations in various areas of the city, removing a large number of encroachments. Additionally, one dumper loaded with sand, gravel, and other materials, as well as numerous items such as carts, kiosks, and a paan parlour, were seized.
Under the instructions of Municipal
Commissioner Harendra Narayan, the Anti-Encroachment Squad conducted joint operations in several locations, including Jinsi Chowk, Jahangirabad, Jail Road, Arera Hills, MP Nagar Zone 01, Shahpura Lake, Chowki Imamabad, Railway Station Platform No. 06, Shahjahanabad, Puthli Ghar Bus Stand, Karod, Vyanjan Hotel, Sanjeevani Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Patrakar Bhavan, Krishna Arcade, Bagmugaliya, Tila Jamalpura, Kolar Road, D Mart, Ghewkheda, Neelam Park, Lady Hospital, Yadgar-e-Shahjhani Park, Link Road No. 01, Bhadbhada Chowk, Hoshangabad Road, Vrindavan Garden, Shani Mandir, and several other areas. In particular, the team removed illegal sheds and other encroachments around the Arera Hills District Court using
JCB machines and laborers. Additionally, the operation led to the removal of carts, kiosks, paan parlours, tables, chairs, and other encroachments, with items such as one dumper of sand and gravel, 09 carts, 01 paan parlour, 01 table, 01 chain, and 01 stool being seized. The Anti-Encroachment Squad also made announcements and personally contacted encroachers, advising them to remove the encroachments voluntarily and not to re-encroach. They warned that strict action would be taken if encroachments are found again in the future.
