TO MARK the occasion of birth centenary of Comrade A B Bardhan, a book in Marathi language ‘Bhia A B Bardhan Ek Zanzawat’ will be released on January 2, 2025 at Parwana Bhawan on Kingsway in the city at 3pm. Ajay Patnaik, former Dean of the School of International Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University (J NU) in New Delhi, will release the book while Dr Bhalchandra Kango will be the guest of honour. Addressing a press conference held here on Monday, Comrade Mohan Sharma, National Secretary, ITUC, said, “We are organising various event throughout the country to mark birth centenary of Comrade ABBardhan. As a part of this, we are releasing a book highlighting thelife and struggle of Comrade A B Bardhan,” he added. Dr V S Jog has written the book with Mohan Sharma.

 

“We have tried to cover A B Bardhan’s contributions to the society as an activist, a legislator, trade unionist, writer, theorist and a staunch defender of the idea of a secular-democratic Republic of India in the book.” Ad D S Buche, ComC M Morya were also present at the press meet.
