Pench witnesses full booking for New Year celebrations

Tourists from across the country and abroad will arrive in the district’s Pench National Park to celebrate the New Year amidst nature. Pench’s booking is full for this. Pench’s resort operators have also made preparations to welcome tourists. Tourists expecting a safari may be disappointed as the booking for safari in Pench is full. Pench has become bustling with tourists just 2 days before the New Year. Tourists arriving at Pench National Park in Seoni without booking on the occasion of New Year are not getting a chance to do safari. In such a situation, these tourists have to return disappointed. Pench Tiger Reserve’s SDO, Ashish Pandey has said that online booking for visiting the park till the first fortnight of this year’s New Year has been full. In such a situation, a new tourist can get a ticket to visit the park only if the booking is cancelled by another tourist.
 
Apart from the core area, tigers and leopards are also seen in the buffer area. Naturalist Omvir Chaudhary has told that Jugni tigress is attracting tourists by appearing with cubs in Khawasa buffer area of Pench. Bajirao tiger and Sakata tigress are often seen in Rukhad buffer area. Patdev tigress, Lakshmi tigress, Kalapahar tigress, Swastik tiger and L Mark tiger and leopard are attracting tourists in the core area. Some tourists are also seeing the famous black leopard known as Bagheer. Also, beautiful lakes, tall trees, various types of birds and a group of other wild animals are attracting tourists in the park. Action will be taken against making noise on the road and in the forest. Till January 5, any kind of illegal activity, nuisance, party, drunk driving, gathering of more than 10 people on the road, near the forest, river in Pench and its adjoining areas or any kind of activity which causes inconvenience, problem to the common people and tourists and adversely affects the daily activities of forest animals shall not be allowed.
 
If law and order is disrupted, then punitive action will be taken under Section 223 of the Indian Justice Code-2023. Seoni Superintendent of Police, Sunil Mehta said that no event will be allowed without permission on the night of December 31. Action will be taken against those who spread chaos. If there is any incident and someone is troubled, the police will reach the spot on a call. Along with deployment of force in Seoni, 4 mobile parties will keep patrolling. The Pench Park area will also be monitored completely.
