State’s player Jyoti Singh to lead National Junior Hockey team in Oman

Junior Asia Cup 2024 is being organised in Muscat, Oman from December 7 to 15. In this international hockey competition, women players of MP State Sports Academy, Jyoti Singh, Aditi Slama and Sonam have been selected in the Indian Junior Hockey Team. Along with this, the hockey coach of the State Women’s Academy has been selected as assistant coach of the Indian Junior Hockey Women’s team. In this championship Jyoti Singh has been selected as the Captain of the Indian Junior Hockey team, Aditi Slama as the goalkeeper, Sonam, forward (additional player) and Neha Rawat as the assistant coach of the team.
 
The players selected from this competition will be eligible for the FIH Hockey Junior World Cup 2025. 10 teams from all over the country are participating in the competition, which have been placed in Pool A and Pool B. Pool A includes India, China, Malaysia, Thailand and Bangladesh. Pool B includes South Korea, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong China and Sri Lanka. State Sports Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang congratulated all the selected players and coaches of MP State Women’s Hockey Academy and said that it is the result of hard work and tireless sports performance of these players that today they are representing the country by getting selected in the Junior Indian team.
