A male tiger was successfully translocated from Kanha Tiger Reserve to Maharaja Martand Singh Judev White Tiger Safari and Zoo Mukundpur in Satna from Ghorela Tiger Enclosure, on Thursday. Team of veterinarians and reserve officers successfully tranquilised the tiger under the supervision of Field Director S K Singh. Veterinarians examined the health and recorded physical measurements of tiger before its transportation to Mukundpur. On January 13, the tiger was translocated from Dubri circle of Sanjay Tiger Reserve and kept in an enclosure for training of rehabilitation at Ghorela Tiger Enclosure in Mukki circle. The tiger was pert in hunting but habitual of reaching towards humans which was unsafe for its releasing into the wild. Chief Wildlife Custodian Madhya Pradesh had released an order for translocation of the tiger at Maharaja Martand Singh Judev White Tiger Safari and Zoo Mukundpur in Satna.
