Deputy Chief Minister and Public Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Minister Rajendra Shukla chaired a General Council meeting of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital called on Thursday. After detailed discussion about healthcare facilities and arrangements, budget, status of all the categories, vacancies and available man-power, AMC and CMC of equipments, cleanliness and security, future workplan of the institution, the Deputy Chief Minister issued necessary instructions. He instructed to take necessary action to fill vacant posts at Medical College and Hospital and ensure improvement in health facilities. He asked to make encroached land available in front of Medical College useful in terms of medical facilities and instructed to establish Sanjeevani Clinics and provide man-power in the remaining wards of JMC, so that the patients during emergency can avail healthcare benefits immediately.
 
The Public Health and Family Welfare Minister also instructed to take necessary action for CT Scan and MRI of patients belong to BPL category. He also discussed about treatment of Ayushman card holders, infrastructure related issues and connecting nursing colleges with DPR. Dean, NSCB Medical College, Dr. Gita Guin gave brief information about medical college and its achievements which include MBBS seats, Super Specialty, Kidney Transplant facility, Gynaec Department, Separate Burn Unit, State Cancer Institute, Skill Lab, New Academic Block and UG Hostel under UG Course Upgradation, renovation of hospital, Bone Marrow Transplant and Research Centre, Forensic Medicine and other special facilities available at the college.
 
The meeting was attended by MLA, Ajay Vishnoi, MLA Abhilash Pandey, Neeraj Singh, Chairperson, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Corporation, Vinod Gontia, Mayor, Jagat Bahadur Singh, Divisional Commissioner, Abhay Verma, Joint Director, Public Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Sanjay Mishra and other medical officers. Earlier, Deputy CM Shukla inspected healthcare facilities and arrangements available at the medical campus and issued necessary instructions to the concerned officers.
