Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the PM Shri Yojana in Raipur, marking a significant milestone in the education sector on Monday. The launch event took place at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium, located at the Science College Ground in Raipur, on Monday. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and School Education Minister Brijmohan Agrawal, among other distinguished guests. The PM Shri Yojana, also known as the Pradhan Mantri School for Rising India Yojana, is a flagship initiative under the National Education Policy 2020. As part of this scheme, the Central Government aims to upgrade 14,500 government schools across the country. In the first phase of implementation, 211 schools in Chhattisgarh have been selected for the PM Shri Yojana. These include 193 schools at the elementary level and 18 at the secondary level. Key highlights of the PM Shri Yojana include Digital Classrooms.
ICT infrastructure will be provided to schools, enabling digital classrooms and enhancing the learning experience for students. Vocational Education: Students will have access to vocational education programs, connecting them with internship and entrepreneurship opportunities within local industries. The launch event witnessed the participation of various dignitaries, including Lok Sabha member Sunil Soni, MLAs Rajesh Munat, Purandar Mishra, Moti Lal Sahu, Anuj Sharma, Guru Khushwant Saheb, Inder Kumar Sahu, and Mayor of Raipur Aijaz Dhebar. The implementation of the PM Shri Yojana underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education and providing holistic development opportunities to students across Chhattisgarh.
