Eleven Star beat Policemen

 

 

 

 

 

ELEVEN Star Football Club defeated Nagpur City Police by a solitary goal in the JSW NDFA Super Division Football Tournament being played at Dr Ambedkar Stadium in Suyog Nagar. The all important goal was scored by Eleven Star’s Mohammad Shoeb in the 30th minute of play. Amol Apturkar was shown a red card (double yellow 60th, 75th min) for dangerous play. In Senior Division, Sportian Football Club eked out a hard fought 2-1 win over Indian Friends Football Club. Ayan Patil put Sportian ahead in the 40th minute but IFFC drew parity in the 46th minute with Manav Simon scoring the goal.

 

Deepak Sharma then put Sportian ahead again in the 52nd minute and then managed to hold on to the slender lead till the final whistle. In First Division, East Kamptee were held to a 1-1 draw by Orange City. Qayam Raza (1st) gave a perfect start to East Kamptee but their joy was short-lived as Tejas scored the equaliser in the 20th minute of play. In another match, Hot Ice pipped Baba FC 3-2. Faizan Ahmed (3rd, 25th) scored a brace for Hot Ice while Kashif Imran added another in the 28th minute. For Baba FC, Mohammad Shahid (33rd) and Sadaf (49th) were the goal getters.
