Maximum temperature in State capital was recorded as 32.8 degrees Celsius and minimum 16.6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. It was bright sunshine in city that forced people to avoid stepping out unnecessary. Weather scientists said that weather would remain changed in Gwalior and Chambal region for next three days. Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) has forecast three days rainfall from February 20. Scientists have also forecast hailstorm in the area. Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain and remaining parts of State will receive clear sky and normal weather condition. On February 19, Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Ujjain, Jabalpur and other 36 cities recorded day temperature above 30 degrees Celsius.
 
For the first time temperature crossed 34 degrees Celsius in Damoh, Tikamgarh and Khajuraho on February 19. While on February 19, Bhopal recorded maximum temperature 33 degree Celsius, on February 20 temperature settled at 32.8 degree Celsius. On Tuesday, highest maximum temperature was recorded as 34.2 degree Celsius in Damoh followed by 33.4 degree Celsius in Raisen, 33.2 degree Celsius in Khajuraho, 33.6 degree Celsius in Sagar, 33.2 degree Celsius in Damoh and 33.0 degree Celsius in Tikamgarh. Minimum temperature remained above 15 degree Celsius in all cities excluding Betul, Dhar, Khandwa, Khargone, Pachmarhi, Rajgarh and Ujjain. Highest minimum temperature was recorded as 19.0 degree Celsius in Gwalior.
 
Weather scientists forecast rainfall and hailstorm in parts of state. Officials said western disturbance is active in northern part of country accompanies with cyclonic appearance. South- West wind is bringing moisture from Bay of Bengal and there are “Z” stream wind that runs at 250 kmph of speed is active above the central region. This can be main reason for the dip down in temperature for next two or three days. On February 21, there are chances of thunder, lightning and droplets in Gwalior, Bhind, Morena and Datia. On February 22, there is prediction for light rainfall and lightning in Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Datia, Sheopur Kala and Shivpuri.
