Three minor girls went missing from their residence in Rana Pratap Nagar following an episode of scolding by their mother. The case, initially treated as kidnapping, took an unexpected turn when the runaway minors were located in Wardha. The incident took place on Wednesday morning when a 13-year-old and a 7-year-old girl decided to leave home after being reprimanded by their mother. Their chosen destination was their grandmother’s residence in Khamla. Accompanying them was their 8-year-old cousin. The trio made their way to the railway station with the intention of traveling by a train to an unknown destination. Concerned relatives, unable to locate the girls, initiated a search and finally registered a kidnapping case at Rana Pratap Nagar Police Station.

CCTV footage analysis pointed the investigators towards the railway station. Later, it was confirmed that the trio had boarded a Wardha-bound train. In a fortunate turn of events, a passenger grew suspicious upon spotting the girls in the train. He informed the Government Railway Police (GRP) at Wardha. The GRP swung into action and deboarded the girls from the train. Further inquiries revealed that they were resident of Rana Pratap Nagar area in Nagpur. The GRP communicated the information to Rana Pratap Nagar Police, who brought the trio back to Nagpur. Now, the three minors are under the care of Shraddhanand Anathalaya.
