The Budget session of the sixth Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly concluded on Wednesday after 17 days of proceedings, earlier than the scheduled end date of March 1. Speaker Dr Raman Singh while presiding over the session announced its adjournment sine die, indicating that the next session is expected to convene in the last week of July. Throughout the budget session, the House engaged in discussions for approximately 1:01:13 hours, with over 145 questions posed during 17 sittings. Among these, 1,337 Starred Questions and 1,357 Unstarred Questions were submitted, totalling 2,694 queries. Additionally, 411 call attention motions were received, out of which 214 were accepted, and 34 were deliberated upon.
 
Furthermore, 147 adjourned motions were tabled, and 61 pieces of information were presented during the zero hour, with 25 accepted and 14 rejected. The House received 266 resolutions from MLAs, of which 139 were accepted, and 76 were rejected. Moreover, 10 private resolutions were submitted, leading to the acceptance of five and the passage of four in the House. All five bills introduced during the budget session were successfully passed. Speaker Dr Raman Singh expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Leader of Opposition Dr. Charan Das Mahant, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Brijmohan Agrawal, and all MLAs and staff of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Secretariat for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth functioning of the House.
 
He commended the active involvement of Congress MLAs Kunwar Singh Nishad and Sangeeta Sinha, as well as BJP MLAs Ajay Chandrakar and Rajesh Munat during the session. He lauded Health and Family Welfare Department Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal for effectively managing his department’s affairs during his first term as a Cabinet Minister.
