Demanding cancellation of Patwari Recruitment exam, a wide-level demonstration was staged in State capital Bhopal on Wednesday. Demonstrators were demanding to form Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter. The demonstrators said that if their demand would not be approved, then they will be moving towards Delhi to stage the sit-in. The protest was held under banner of National Educated Youth Union (NEYU) at MP Nagar Square. After staging sit-in at MP Nagar Square, they moved towards Vallabh Bhawan. However, police team used barricades at Board Office Square to stop them. When demonstrators were to move towards the Vallabh Bhawan, police team arrested some of the demonstrator near Congress office and disburse the crowd.

 

Youngsters who were arrested by the police said that educated youth from across the State will be gathered. They alleged dictatorship on Government official and said that youth are being tortured. there were 11 girl demonstrators arrested by the team. Ranjeet Kisanvanshi from NEYU said, “we are demanding to put the recruitment on hold and release the Rajendra Verma Committee report for public.” Patwari recruitment result was released on June 30, 2023.

Counselling for the candidates successfully cleared the Patwari Recruitment Examination 2022 began on February 24. Employees Selection Board had already released the final result of the exam. General Administration Department has already released an order to allow appointment to the candidates based on the exam result. Patwari recruitment test result was declared on June 30, 2023. After the result was released, allegation was made for the scam in examination process.

 

Former Government led by Shivraj Singh Chauhan put the result on hold and formed committee to probe the matter.
