Beautification planned for Robertson Lake on lines of Ranital Pond

Robertson Lake ‘Gokalpur Pond’ in VFJ Estate will be developed and beautified on the basis of Ranital Pond for attracting tourism in the area. The lake spread in 300 acres area will be covered with boundary wall and water sports facilities will be developed at the pond for increasing tourism and generating new employment opportunities. Collector Deepak Saxena chaired an interaction meeting with senior officers of Vehicle Factory Jabalpur (VFJ) at its inspection bungalow, on Sunday. During the meeting, Collector and VFJ Chief General Manager, SK Bhola held discussions on production, innovation, traffic, public facilities, skill development, employment, security, health and several other issues.
 
CGM, SK Bhola expressed the need of boundary wall for avoiding encroachments and strengthening security of Vehicle Factory. He also informed about the requirement of street light and surveillance camera network in the estate area for avoiding anti-social activities. He informed that the Robertson Lake is spread at around 300 acres land which is currently known as Gokalpur Pond. This lake should be developed and beautified for attracting tourism in the area while water sports facilities can also be developed at the pond.Taking cognizance on the suggestion, Collector, Deepak Saxena along with CGM, SK Bhola and other concerned officers visited the Robertson Lake.
 
During the inspector, Collector directed the concerned officers of Jabalpur Smart City for development of Robertson Lake on the basis of Ranital Pond. He also instructed the officers for removing encroachments and preparing a work plan for developing water sports and tourism activities to attract tourism and new employment opportunities in the area. On the occasion, VFJ GM Kamlesh Kumar, Works Manager, Gaurav Dixit, Anil Kushwaha, Security Officer, Colonel Rupinder Singh, Smart City CEO, CP Gohal, Tehsildar Ranjhi, Rajiv Mishra and other officers were present.
