MPBSE Class 10th examinations commence; 25,642 students write exam on first day

With Hindi language paper, the Class X Board Examination of Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) started amid tight security from Monday. The students reached their examination centres on fixed time where after proper checking, they were allowed in the examination rooms. The Board has taken strict steps to check the possibilities of paper leak. Under the same, the paper envelopes were kept under tight security at the near-by police stations and carried to the centre an hour before the examination schedule. Adequate number of police jawans were deployed at every centre to check any untoward incidents during examination. District Education Officer, Ghanshyam Soni informed that the Class X Board was conducted at 104 centres across the district out of which 54 were located at Jabalpur Rural areas while remaining 50 were at urban areas. A total of 26213 students including 11680 from rural and 14533 from urban areas, respectively were registered to attend the examination. Out of 26213, 25,642 attended the examination on the first day.
 
DEO, Soni informed that no case of unfair means was registered on the first day of examination. Collector Deepak Saxena has constituted eight flying squads under the supervision of SDMs of the respective areas, whereas the DEO has constituted one team to check cheating. It may be mentioned that the Board has introduced set of new rules for fair conduct of the MP Board Exam 2024 under which barcodes are put in the answer sheet. The identity of the candidates will be hidden by putting barcodes on the answer sheets of Mathematics, Science and Social Science in class 10th and Hindi subject in class 12th.
 
During MP Board 10th, 12th Exam 2024, the students will not get supplementary copies. The answer sheet in the examination of main subjects will be 32 pages. While the students appearing for Vocational and Sanskrit subjects, would have a copy of 20 pages. Whereas in the practical exam, 10th class students will get eight pages, and 12th class students will get 12 pages. For Mathematics subject, a graph copy of 32 pages will be provided. There is no provision for supplementary copy in this also.
