Harda firecracker factory blaze: Collector, SP direct to keep check on similar businesses in district

Taking a serious note on spine-chilling incident of fire at firecracker factory in Harda, district authorities came in action to keep vigil upon legality and safety measures at fire-cracker and explosive factories and godowns in the district. Combine teams of district administration and police department will conduct rigorous inspection of fire-cracker and explosive factories, godowns and shops throughout the district from February 7, 9 am onwards. This was decided in a combine meeting of District Administration and Police Department at Collectorate meeting hall, on Tuesday. Collector, Deepak Saxena and Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh chaired the meeting while senior administrative and police officers were present.
Addressing the meeting, Collector, Saxena directed all the SDMs for starting inspection of fire-cracker and explosive factories, godowns and shops in their respective areas. All the fire-cracker or explosive licensees should be directed for remaining present at their respective establishments with all the essential documents and certificates. He informed that combine teams comprised of SDM, SDOP, Tehsildar and SHO of concerned areas will conduct inspection of factories, workshops, godowns and shops engaged in production, stocking and selling of explosive materials. Officers should minutely examine the documents and verify the essential safety measures at such kind of establishments to avoid any untoward incident.
Officers should also examine the stocks at such establishments to verify the stock of gelatin and dynamite with the licensee. During the meeting, Additional Collector, Misha Singh, Additional Collector, Sher Singh Meena, Additional Collector, Nathuram Gond were present while all the SDMs, SDOPs, Tehsildar and SHOs were virtually attended the meeting.
