Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the Mahtari Vandan Yojana in Chhattisgarh, a scheme aimed at providing financial support to women. Through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, over 7 million women received the first installment of Rs 655.57 crore as Prime Minister Modi initiated the scheme. Addressing the event, Prime Minister Modi expressed his gratitude with ‘Jai Johar’ and prayed to Maa Danteshwari and Maa Mahamaya. He highlighted the importance of empowering women financially and mentioned the recent launch of projects worth Rs 35,000 crore in Chhattisgarh. Prime Minister Modi emphasized the commitment of the BJP Government to fulfil its promises, stating that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana is a testament to this dedication.

 

Despite being unable to physically attend the event in Chhattisgarh due to other commitments, Prime Minister Modi addressed the audience from Kashi in Uttar Pradesh, conveying the blessings from Baba Vishwanath to Chhattisgarh. He assured the women beneficiaries that the funds would be transferred to their accounts without any delay each month, emphasising the importance of women’s empowerment in strengthening families and communities. Prime Minister Modi highlighted various initiatives aimed at empowering women, including the provision of pucca houses, Ujjwala gas cylinders, and financial assistance through schemes like Mudra Loans and Namo Drone Didi Yojana.

 

He reiterated the government’s commitment to improving maternal and child health, providing free vaccinations and financial aid to pregnant women. Commending Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and his team for their efforts, Prime Minister Modi reiterated the BJP’s commitment to fulfilling its promises and delivering welfare schemes for the people of Chhattisgarh. He assured that the government would continue to work tirelessly to serve the citizens and uplift their lives.
