Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for dedicating his valuable time to launch the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, underscoring its significance for the mothers and sisters of Chhattisgarh. He emphasized that the day they had eagerly awaited had finally arrived, with the first instalment of the scheme being transferred to the bank accounts of 70 lakh 12 thousand 600 women. Referring to the Sanatan tradition that reveres women, Chief Minister Sai reiterated the adage, “Yatra Naryastu Pujyante Ramante Tatra Devta,” which emphasizes that where women are respected, gods reside.
 
He emphasized that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana represents a concrete manifestation of this ethos, marking a significant step towards women empowerment and the realization of their aspirations in Chhattisgarh. Acknowledging the invaluable contributions of women to nation-building, Chief Minister Sai described them as the embodiment of Shakti and the architects of the nation. He viewed the Mahtari Vandan Yojana as a humble tribute to their immeasurable efforts and emphasized the importance of empowering women for the development of both the state and the country. Highlighting the synergy between the state government and the central leadership under Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister Sai stressed the need to maintain and strengthen this alliance.
 
He urged the people to support Prime Minister Modi, who envisions a developed India, by contributing their strength to the progress of the country and the state. In addition, Chief Minister Sai administered an oath to make Chhattisgarh Child Marriage Free and unveiled a coffee table pictorial book titled “Mai Mahtari Havaon,” prepared by the Public Relations Department as a dedication to Chhattisgarh Mahtaris. This book features 36 stories of joyous moments, celebrating the spirit and achievements of women in the state.
