CM dedicates Rani Awanti Bai Lodhi State University in Sagar

Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav in a glittering function digitally launched Veerangana Rani Awanti Bai Lodhi Vishwavidalaya at Sagar at PTC ground on Wednesday. He pressed the remote button to inaugurate the State University. He announced that this State University will start functioning from this session. He announced many gifts for Sagar district, including building of the University. Food and Civil Supply Minister Govind Singh Rajput, Ex-Minister and MLA Gopal Bhargava, MP Rajbahadur Singh, MLA Shailendra Jain, Virendra Singh Lodhi, Mayor Sangita Tiwari, District Panchayat President Heera Singh Rajput, Municipal Corporation President Vrindavan Ahirwar, District Panchayat Vice-President Devendra Singh Thakur, Women’s Commission former Chairperson Lata Wankhede and others were present. Addressing the gathering, CM Dr Yadav said that MP is the centre point of entire country for education. Since ancient time, Lord Krishna attained education at Ujjain at Sandipani Ashram. Dr Hari Singh Gaur founded the first University of the State in Sagar.
 
He supported the demand for awarding Bharat Ratna to late Dr Hari Singh Gaur who was renowned educationist. Sagar is the only district where two universities have been founded. Around 52 days back, the State Government decided to start State University at Sagar and named it in honour of great warrior queen Rani Awanti Bai Lodhi. In colleges and University, future of nation is shaped up. College students should not only have degree but skill also so that they get job or become self-reliant. Under NEP, entire education system is being revamped and credit to this vision goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. CM Dr Yadav said that on January 20 he announced opening of Ayurveda College at Sagar and in this function he announced that this college will be named after Acharya Shri Vidyasagarji Maharaj. He announced for naming of roads at Badtooma on name of Sant Ravidas. On demand of local public representatives, CM announced for starting science faculty at graduate level at Govt College at Kesli and PG science in Govt college at Makronia, Banda. On the occasion, the Chief Minister announced financial aid of Rs 5 lakh to small child named Mohit Rajput from Sironja village for kidney transplant.
 
He directed Collector Deepak Arya for sending proposal for financial aid for treatment of cancer patient 13-year-old Omprakash Kachi. Minister Govind Rajput said that when Central University was opened at Sagar, local students were happy but were not given admission. Hence, after a long wait and struggle of 13 years by students, leaders, state University at Sagar has been started. He requested the Chief Minister to forward proposal of residents of Sagar for Bharat Ratna to Late Dr Hari Singh Gaur. MLA Shailendra Jain delivered welcome address and thanked for opening of the State university. MP Rajbahadur Singh, Lata Wankhede thanked CM Dr Yadav for opening of State Universty at Sagar which would be of great help to students of Sagar and Damoh district. Prior to it, CM Dr Yadav inaugurated the function by ‘Kanya Pujan’ and lighting the traditional lamp. He was accorded grand welcome by decorating him with a big size garland by dignitaries.
