With an aim to ease the traffic going towards Wardha and Chandrapur, a flyover from Chinchbhuvan to Jamtha has been planned. Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister; Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister performed the bhoomipujan of the 2.69 km flyover between Chinchbhuvan and Jamtha at Nagpur-Hyderabad National Highway no 44 and six lane road widening on Thursday at Khapri. The pace at which various development works started in Nagpur, urbanisation also increased in the new areas here. Due to the Chandrapur-Wardha and Samruddhi Mahamarg, Mumbai-bound traffic increased significantly on the Wardha Road.
 
Taking all these aspects into consideration, Devendra Fadnavis asserted, “We are giving a new direction to development by taking up the work of Chinchbhuvan to Jamtha flyover at a very opportune time keeping in mind the future transport needs.” Chandrashekhar Bawankule, President of State unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP); Tekchand Sawarkar, MLA; Sudhakar Kohle, President of Nagpur District BJP were present. The total length of the project will be 5.74 km with cost incurred will be Rs 620 crore. Traffic has increased significantly from Chinchbhuvan to Jamtha heading towards Wardha and Chandrapur. Due to MIHAN and various other projects, Chinchbhuvan, Butibori areas have been heavily urbanized. Considering the increasing population, it was necessary to provide alternative facilities on the existing route.
 
Fadnavis stated, “We are trying to provide better infrastructure I assure all that this road will also be completed within the stipulated time. “Gadkari pointed out, “Many development works have been done in the city. Many flyovers as well as roads have been constructed. A tender has been issued for Ropeway to be developed at Ramtek. Nagpur to Hyderabad Expressway is under construction which assumes importance while heading towards South part of India. We have given momentum to Metro route from Nagpur to Butibori. Now Metro will run from Butibori to Kanhan and from Hingna to Bhandara Road. We are also contemplating expansion of MIHAN beyond Ring road.”
