District Election Officer and Collector, Deepak Saxena chaired a meeting of nodal officers of different branches to review the election preparations till date, on Sunday. He directed the officers for completing necessary preparation of their respective branches as per the directions of the Election Commission within stipulated time. In the meeting, Additional Collector, Misha Singh, Jila Panchayat, CEO, Jayati Singh, JMC Commissioner, Preeti Yadav, Additional Collector, Nathuram Gond, Jabalpur Development Authority, CEO, Deepak Vaidya and Deputy District Election Officer, Dhirendra Singh were present. DEO, Saxena encouraged the officers for working with team spirit to ensure successful, impartial and uninterrupted election process. He instructed the nodal officers for carefully studying the guidelines of Election Commission of India to ensure its cent percent implementation during the election process.

 

Collector reviewed the preparations for appointment and training of polling personnel, EVM and VVP machines randomization, distribution of election materials, vehicles arrangements, route chart, returning of election materials, use of different portals, software management, election certificates, postal ballots arrangements, postal ballots for above 85-years voters, door-to-door collection of postal ballots, printing of postal ballots, commissioning of EVMs, strong room management, observer management, grievance redressal and helpline centre, communication plan, accounts management and other management. DEO and Collector, Saxena emphasized over the training of employees to be deployed for election duty and instructed the senior officers for taking disciplinary action against employees to be absent from their duties. He also said for making a medical board for providing medical leave to employees.
