For the third consecutive day in Madhya Pradesh unseasonal rainfall and hailstorm continued. On Monday, Anupur, Chhindwara and Betul districts recorded storm with rainfall. According to reports, parts of Anupur district recorded hailstorm for 20 minutes. Multai and few other areas of Betul recorded heavy storm with light rainfall. Many farmers in Betul complained that their crops was destroyed with the storm. Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) Bhopal forecast rainfall and hailstorm for Damoh, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Pandhurna, Jabalpur, Katni, Umaria, Dindori, Mandla and Balaghat. Red alert is released for Shahdol and Anupur for March 19. Weather scientists have also forecast rainfall and hail storm in Betul, Chindwara, Narmadapuram, Raisen, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Panna, Satna, Maihar, Rewa, Sidhi, Mauganj and Singrauli along with thundering and lightning.
 
For March 20, rain and hail storm is forecast for Pandurna, Balaghat, Seoni, Mandla, Jabalpur, Dindori, Umaria, Shahdol, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli. Maximum temperature in Bhopal was 32.9 degrees Celsius and minimum 20.2 degrees Celsius. Indore recorded maximum temperature 32.6 degrees Celsius and minimum 18.8 degrees Celsius. Gwalior recorded maximum temperature 31.5 degrees Celsius and minimum 13.6 degrees Celsius. Ujjain recorded maximum temperature 33.5 degrees Celsius and minimum 18.7 degrees Celsius. Jabalpur recorded maximum temperature 32.4 degrees Celsius and minimum 19.0 degrees Celsius. However. Bhopal saw hot and sultry weather during the day. Bu, there was cold wind blowing in morning and evening hours but in afternoon hours, people felt were sultry weather.
 
Weather scientists said that Jabalpur, Rewa and Shahdol division would get major changes with the new weather activity. Dr Vedprakash Singh, Senior Scientists IMD, said, “a turf line is passing through Odisha to Chhattisgarh due to the south-west air from Arabian Sea. He said south-west is bringing moisture in eastern MP from Bay of Bengal due to which rain and hailstorm is expected in state for one more day.” For March 19, IMD has forecast hailstorm and rain in 26 districts. Officials said that western disturbance will be active from March 20 and after that hot and humid weather will be experienced in state. This year Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Ujjain cities have trend to record extreme heat waves. From March 26 to 31, temperature is expected to cross 40 degrees Celsius.
