It is a matter of great pride for the city and the residents as Jabalpur excelled in national-level City Beautification Competition. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav will present the award to senior officials of Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) during Swachhta Prerna Samaroh to the held in Bhopal. The City Beautification Competition, was organised at national level witnessed Jabalpur’s remarkable performance.

 

The competition was organised under the Swachh Survekshan 2024, an initiative by the Central Government, the competition involved participation of municipal bodies from various cities last year. JMC excelled in different categories. As per the letter issued by the Directorate of Urban Administration and Development, Madhya Pradesh, a grand programme will be held at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal on March 4, Monday, where all the municipal corporation will be honoured by the Chief Minister.

 

JMC had selected several areas, including Dumna Nature Park, Bhawartal Park, Pisanhari Ki Madiya, Gulautalab, Rani Durgavati Museum and Sanskriti Rangmanch among others, for the competition. The selection was based on the historical structures, beauty, available amenities and maintenance of these areas, which were inspected by a four-member team sent by the Centre. Taking into account all factors, Jabalpur received the recognition. Municipal Commissioner Preeti Yadav and public representatives have congratulated all the officials and employees and encouraged them to continue working in the same manner.
