A number of Congress leaders and workers gathered at city square, on Thursday evening to celebrate selection of Dinesh Yadav, senior Congress leader and former City President of Congress Committee, as the party’s candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Jabalpur constituency.

 

Although the official list from the Congress had not been released on Thursday, party members indicated that their seniors in New Delhi and Bhopal had given the green signal for Yadav’s candidature from Jabalpur. On contacting Dinesh Yadav, he confirmed that State Co-Incharge Sanjay Kapoor and other senior leaders had informed him of his final selection as the party’s candidate for the Jabalpur Parliamentary constituency, despite the official list not yet being release.
