TEHSIL Police arrested a drug peddler and seized Mephedrone (MD) powder valued at Rs 55 lakh from his house Wednesday night. Identified as Mohsin Khan Hameed Khan (38), the accused is a resident of Kala Zenda, Diwanshah Takia, behind Gulab Baba School. Acting on specific inputs, police raided Khan’s house and seized 550 gramme MD powder valued at Rs 55 lakh and a cellphone worth Rs 15,000. Cops immediately took Khan into custody and registered a case under Section 8(c), 22(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act against him. Further investigation is on.
