Two-day CIMCON-2024 inaugurated
Inaugurating the two-day Central India Management Conclave CIMCON-2024 at IIM Nagpur campus in MIHAN on Saturday, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said, a leadership based on human values and ethics goes a long way.
“When a leader incorporates honesty, transparency and clarity into his management then it adds to his overall assets. We need such leaders who can take the country to a new level, Tata Group is one such business organisation that gave due importance to ethics and
values in its businesses,”
said Gadkari.
The Union Minister also said, management based on human values is the best.
Stressing on importance of innovation, Gadkari urged researchers to go for need-based and region-based research and said, Chandrapur has the best quality iron ore
in India.
“Now, we need industries to add value to this iron ore and come out with allied products
and make it a profitable equation for the entire region,” he said addressing a gathering of over 500 business leaders participating in the conclave jointly organised by Vidarbha Management Association (VMA) and IIM Nagpur.
Apart from this, he urged the participants to identify strong points of the region and also the shortcomings so that strengths can be further elevated, while shortcomings can be removed. Gadkari laid emphasis upon business leaders of Vidarbha Region to think big in order to fetch larger investments for this region.
Gadkari congratulated the team of CIMCON for keeping MSMEs as the central theme of the two-day event. He wished success to this convention and expected that it would help in bringing socio-economic change. He also appreciated the efforts of VMA and IIM-N for their efforts in organising such conventions.

Earlier, Dr Bhimraya Metri, in his introductory remarks highlighted the objective of holding the conventions and said it will facilitate guidance of industry experts for the entrepreneurs, start-ups, MSMEs and local businesses. Taking MSMEs to the next orbit is being prominently focused in this convention, he added.
On this occasion, Main Sponsors Vishal Agrawal of RC Plasto and K S Cheema of Central Star Motors were felicitated by Nitin Gadkari. A book on ‘Temple Economics’ written by one of the key speakers Sandeep Singh, was presented to Gadkari on this occasion. Organising Chairman Brij Sarda moderated the inaugural function and also proposed a vote of thanks.
