THE Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) Nagpur Centre recently organised a programme ‘WOW – World of Women Architects’, a special event dedicated to celebrating International Women’s Day. The event received a tremendous response, with more than 75 women architects, members and non-members from the city participating in the programme, ranging from young graduates to esteemed senior architects and academicians. Ar. Parag Yelne, Chairman, IIA Nagpur Centre welcomed the members of the gathering. The chief guest of the programme Anasuya Kale Chhabrani, a noted social activist of the city, conducted an interesting interactive session on ‘Architecture and Sustainability’, and urged the women architects to foster nature inspired designs to safeguard ‘Mother Earth’ and promote sustainability to protect the environment.
