Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai handed over development works worth Rs 268 crore to Durg division in a programme organised at the Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University campus in Bhilai on Monday. He inaugurated and performed bhoomipujan of 26 construction works under the division at a cost of Rs 268.56 crore. In this series, the CM also inaugurated the educational building of the newly constructed university teaching department ‘Aryabhatta Bhawan’ in CSVTU at a cost of Rs 10.35 crore. Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma along with MLAs Doman Lal Korsewada, Lalit Chandrakar, Gajendra Yadav, Rikesh Sen, Ishwar Sahu and MP Vijay Baghel were especially present. On this occasion, Chief Guest CM Sai honoured the labourers engaged in the construction work of Aryabhatta Building in Technical University. Addressing the function, Chief Guest CM Sai said the people of the district will benefit from this development works.
He said that an American company is working in the IT sector in the newly constructed building. The company will train hundreds of youth in IT and will also provide them opportunities to work abroad. Later while replying to the query of media CM Sai said that in the state of Chhattisgarh, if religious conversion is done by luring people with the allure of poverty and education, it will not be tolerated. Replying to the query on the tweet by former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Twitter, Sai said that no one has a bigger family than Modi ji’s family.
There are 140 crore members in Modi ji’s family and all Indians consider Modi ji as their leader. Deputy CM Arun Sao and Minister incharge of the district, Vijay Sharma highlighted the proposed action plan of the Center and the State. MP Vijay Baghel said that this university has its own identity in India and expressed hope that will achieve further achievements also. Divisional Commissioner SN Rathore presented the administrative report of Durg division. CSVTU Vice Chancellor Dr. MK Verma threw light on the activities of the university. On this occasion, former MLA Labhchand Bafna, Risali Mayor Shashi Sinha and other public representatives and Collector Richa Prakash Chaudhary, SP Jitendra Shukla, district and police administration officials, distinguished citizens, university officials and students were present.
