The Nagpur Housing and Area Development Board, a division of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) on Tuesday launched an online application system for about 416 households located at two locations in the city. Home seekers may now apply for the households located at Ganeshpeth and Beltarodi. For the first time in the history of MHADA Nagpur, the applications are being invited in online mode. According to Maheshkumar Meghmale, Chief of Nagpur Board, the lottery winners would be able to fulfil their dreams of purchasing the households when the results are announced. MHADA will accept online applications till April 3 while the date for lottery draws will be announced very soon.
The development authority is inviting online applications for ready possession flats under two categories - Middle Income Group (MIG) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS). Out of the total 416 flats, 344 flats (for MIG category applicants) are available in Ganeshpeth while remaining 72 flats (for EWS category applicants) are in Beltarodi. The estimated cost of MIG 2BHK flats will be between Rs 60 lakh and Rs 70 lakh. On the other hand, 1BHK (570.81 square feet area) flats are being offered at a price of about Rs 14.72 lakh under the EWS category.
Applicants having annual income between Rs 9,00,001 and Rs Rs 12,00,000 will be eligible for MIG category flats while those with annual income below Rs 6 lakh will be eligible for EWS category flats. The launching of the online application system was held here in the office of MHADA’s Nagpur Housing and Area Development Board, Nagpur in Civil Lines in presence of Maheshkumar Meghmale, Chief Officer, MHADA, Nagpur; Deepti Kale, Nodal Officer; Retired Principal District and Session Judge Subhash Mohod; Atul Wasnik, Assistant Director, Social Welfare Department; Deepti Shrimankar, Assistant Professor - VNIT; and others.
