Once again the administration in Rani Durgavati University hit the newspapers’ headlines for wrong reason. As even after releasing the examination time table and admit cards to the students, the RDU administration forgot to conduct examination. Irked over the issue, the members of National Students Union of India (NSUI) staged a blindfold demonstration at the University campus on Tuesday. They were protesting against the alleged failure, careless and ignorant attitude of the University Administration. On the call of the District President, NSUI, Sachin Rajak, the NSUI members assembled at the campus under the leadership of District Vice-president, Anuj Yadav and University Incharge, Achalnath Choudhary and staged a demonstration by covering their eyes with black ribbons.
Rajak informed that as per time-table, the B.Sc. and CS examinations were to be conducted on Tuesday. As the time-table was released two weeks ago while the admit cards were issued on Monday, but when the students reached the campus from different parts of the district and from other places, they were informed that the university administration has forgetton that they have to conduct the examination on Tuesday. When the students tried to raise their voice, they were threatened by the administration.
Soon after receiving information, the NSUI members updated the University Registrar. The entire incident was evident that the university administration did not bother about the students’ future at all. Later the NSUI members entered the meeting hall when a meeting was still going on and staged blind-folded demonstration infront of the Vice-chancellor and other senior officials to register their protest against the ignorant attitude. Those who present while staging protest included Yashu Neekhra, Shivansh Saxena, Khushboo Kureel, Shubham Mishra and other students.
