Green Fashion India (GFI), an initiative of Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha’s (MKSSS’s) School of Fashion Technology (SOFT), Pune in association with MKSSS’s SOFT, Nagpur successfully hosted the 10th GFI Prelude recently at MKSSS’s Cummins Engineering College, Nagpur. The event witnessed active participation from eminent fashion, textile industrialists, Government and non-Governmental organisation representatives, fashion academicians, and students pursuing fashion in higher education. The GFI Prelude aimed to address sustainability issues within the fashion industry through a series of seminars, and a green fashion show.

 

Under the mentorship of industry stalwarts such as Rahul Bhajekar, CEO Global Organic Textile Standards, Germany; Hemang Agrawal, Eminent Designer Promoting Exclusive Brocades of Varanasi; and Benjamin Itter, Director of Lebenskleidung Germany. Mohana Kadam, President of GFI, Milind Lele, Trustee MKSSS, and GFI Core Committee Member, Dr M Hundekar, Secretary of GFI, and Dr Garima Bhalla, Principal SOFT Pune provided guidance throughout the event.
