Sarsanghchalak, Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh Dr Mohan Bhagwat arrived at Amarkantak to attend a religious event on Tuesday. During his stay he held discussion with the saints, seers, social activists of the area on many issues. At the onset he offered prayers to Narmada river and then met many saints, seers at Ekrsanand Ashram, Mrintunjay Ashram. He shared dais with Sant Swami Hariharanand Saraswati Ji Mahraj. Dr Bhagwat spoke on Sanatan culture, Hindu Dharm, building of strong India, environment conservation and others. Greeting all saints, seers, Dr Bhagwat said that everone draws inspiration from Shivaji Maharaj as his values, character was appreciated by his opponents too. The discourses of saints helped in society reformation through medium of character building and imbibing moral values in people.
 
He expressed the need of awareness in Hindu society for adopting and practicing cultural values. When a person is reformed then society would automatically transform. The youngsters need to draw inspiration from life of Shivaji Maharaj. On the occasion, Swami Hariharanand Ji Maharaj submitted three point demand letter to Dr Bhagwat including demand of of abolishing of Puja Sthal Law 1991, developing ‘Narmaa Lok’ at Amarkantak and others. Jagdishnand Ji submitted letter to Dr Bhagwat on behalf of other saints on expansion of lease of Ashram. Prior to it, Dr Bhagwat with Bhiayaji Joshi and other senior Pracharak offered prayers at ‘Narmada Kund’ at Ma Narmada Udgam Mandir and prayed for all.
 
Then he attended special religious event at Mritunjay Ashram and. He met Sant Swami Hariharanand Sarswati Ji Mahraj. They were welcomed by Ashram staff . Discussion on many issues were made including request for abolishing the power of Waqf Board. The visit of Dr Bhagwat was known only to senior office bearers of RSS of the area and none was allowed entry. Mahamandleshwar Swami Hariharanand Ji Sarawati Mahraj, Swami Rambhushan Das Ji Mahraj, Acharya Swami Ramkrishnand Ji Mahraj, Swami Jagdishand, Swami Dharmand, Swami Lavleen Mahraj, Swami Narmdand Ji and others were present on the occasion.
